“Life must be a preparation for the transition to another dimension.” –Terence McKenna
When we were kids, life was full of adventure. We were unaware of our future, as we grew up, things changed, our perceptions changed, responsibilities came like our shadows which we cannot depart. Still life has to move on, passing through irony and muddy terrains, a lot of bushy thorns creating marks in our life.
I completed my graduation from Delhi University. This was the time to choose my career, totally unaware of the upcoming hurdles. At my first job, I came across new faces, though looked white but was black deep within. I trusted everyone, clueless about the dark shades of the figures passed by me. Everything was like the new page of a notebook, when we start it, it’s fresh and clean…as you move along, marks start filling the page, few indelible. Experience in various companies was like a change of seasons. Sometimes sunny, while gloomy at other times as if almighty is giving some signal to us.
In 2008, I moved to Bangalore, Garden city of India. It was really beautiful and refreshing. I began hunting for jobs, a new place, a new set of people, a different language, explored the city to the fullest with a lot of expectations. I started working for one the defence organizations. I used to admire the officers in defence, their fabulous personality always charmed me. In order to reach the next level, I pursued MBA from Madurai Kamraj University, which added more value to my resume, years passed with varied experiences and hurdles. It was the time to change the focus, wherein I got a chance to work in another prestigious Institution. My overall life got changed with different roles and perspectives.
I realized that just a strong desire will not help me to cross the river. I had to perform, I had to grow, I had to go every step of the way. The encouragement of my colleagues made me transform.
The transformation from an ordinary person to a trainer…
If I look back, I can see the transition through my goals and dreams over the years. I have achieved many and some yet to achieve. I often remind myself that dreams may die, and our passion can give rebirth to it.
Here are few values that remain in me which may help the readers to transform:
- Engage with people.
- Think and speak.
- Explore new opportunities
- Never give up.
- Learn to relax and let go.
- Learning is a never-ending process.
“Learn to embrace a change in your work and personal life and make the transition to a better you.”
