Always grandma’s story starts with,
“There is a cave in the jungle”, suddenly with open eyes our imagination starts; there must be an evil demon inside the cave or there might be a huge treasure hidden by some thieves or some princess captured by an evil witch. Maybe these tales and movies are imaginative and some are real, whatever the story is, we get thrilled and curious about ‘what is inside the cave?’
The caves, which we are talking about, are of utmost significance for the entire mankind. Yes, the place where our forefathers walked into, lived their life and told their story inside these rock shelters. What I am talking about here is that our ancestors have struggled throughout and lived a life of conflict. Undoubtedly, these caves are about 65,000 years old. Now, let us begin our journey into it.
According to archaeologists, several caves were found all over the world, ancient and famous.
- The red stencilled hands in the rockshelter of the Patagonian in Southern Argentina are called ‘Cave of Hands.’ These red washed hands may be considered as the seed for the printing technology seen today.
- Spain is a land of many ancient caves; which were a platform for our ancestors to showcase their artistic skills and lifestyle.
Cave Altamira: where we can see the painting of hunting and dancing pictures along with animals and birds which are beautifully composed with simple forms and shapes. This is the very reason why every child tries to convey something with scribbling, which may be due to the knowledge transferred by our ancestors.
- Another thrilling pothole is Bulgaria’s route; which features large and artistic images. There are about seven hundred pictures inside the cave depicting hunting and dancing.
- India has many ancient caverns that have been unveiled and there are about 600 stages known as Bhimbetka Cave, which is the most famous rock shelter found in Madhya Pradesh. In one of the caves, we have red and white pictures of people and animals as seen in the image below.
These Caves are not the only place where our ancestors lived, but have laid the foundation for human evolution, and the brains of the present generation are inextricably linked. The first intellectual development of the entire human race began within the caves.
There are many things yet to be explored by human kind, inside the cave and within our brain that have mysterious secrets of this entire universe; where we can access the past, present and future. Human brain is also like these potholes where very few people have the reach and access to get inside…
Will discuss more in my next blog.
